The Relais & Maison Grand Tour was created originally in 2001 and then given a new life in 2018 by the passion of a new owner, Ulrike (me), and me and my team perfected the place already rich in history and tradition through further renovations and turned it into what you see today. Through the conversion of a unique aspect of the Relais, a small vintage private theatre, into an apartment and a unique space for organizing tailor-made events, more visions came to life.

A Travel Agent by trade, I had lived in the U.S. for many years and found myself back in Europe in 2018. After a couple of years of renovations and putting my own stamp on it, we have today a beautiful boutique accommodation that has the guest’s well being in mind and the motto of “Home Away from Home” exemplified.

I consider my work to be more than a job – it is more like a mission actually. As always I am approaching my days with an open heart for my guests, and with a determination to provide them, new or returning, with the utmost care and dedication for a memorable stay.

We have many reviews that attest to that, and we don’t just say that…we often have our guests arrive as visitors and leave as friends.  We have been able to find staff that aligns with our sense of passion & care for how we do things and why. We cannot wait to hear your travel tales and add to your experiences.
