Arrival to the Relais & Maison Grand Tour by Plane…
When you arrive by plane at the Airport in Florence you have to retrieve your luggage and then decide if you want to reach the Center of Florence by tram or by Taxi. If you choose to the Tram, you leave the Airport Building and turn Left where the Tramstation is located. The destination station in the center is called Unita. Once you arrive there you have about 10 minutes walking distance to our location in via Santa Reparata 21n.
If you decide to arrive by taxi , you leave the airport and turn right to walk to the end of the building, which is where you will find a line of Taxis waiting for you.
The drive into Florence should take about 20 minutes and the taxi driver will drop you in front of our building.
If you happen to arrive to Florence by car here are our recommendations:
Florence has like every Italian town a limited driving zone in the historical district area. Our building, as it is close to all sites, is located there, and driving in that zone (ZTL) is restricted to permit holders only and residents. There are traffic cameras that will register your entry, so once entered, vehicles without proper permission (tourists for example) need to park in a proper garage and not just on the street. The garage reports your vehicle tags and places them on a whitelist so that you don’t get fined. The closest garage for us is:
Garage Sant’Orsola
Via Sant’ Orsola 2/r
Firenze
Opening hours:
Mon-Sun: 7am – 12 midnight
info@autoservizi.firenze.it
– tel. 055 281893
Price per day is ~32- 45.- Euros/day depending on the size of and paid to them (no relation to us).

Please drive there directly, leave your vehicle with them, and then walk to our location (2 min away). If you come to us first to unload your luggage, proceed to the garage right after.
There is also another option outside of the Limited Driving Zone, about 12 min by foot from us.
It is called Parcheggio Stazione Fortezza Fiera, is an underground parking garage near the convention center, and has more than 500 parking spots. The charge per day is 20.- Euros paid via their system on site. To reserve a spot, this seems to be their site…

For guests staying longer, there is an inexpensive solution outside of Florence, at the Highway Intersection of A1 and the exit Villa Costanza. The video surveyed parking lot costs only E7.- per day and once you parked securely, you can take the tram into the center of Florence via the tram station right there. The destination station in Florence on the T1 tram line would be Alamanni or Unitá. From there we are a 10 min walk away.

We always encourage our guests to be in touch with us on the day of arrival so that you can let us know of possible delays no matter the means of transportation.
If you arrive via train…
when you exit the tracks, walk through a space / ticket office (called “Biglietteria”). Once you exit the building, turn left, stay on the sidewalk and you will see a line of taxis.
Our address is
Via Santa Reparata 21/N
It will take you about 10/15 minutes depending on traffic, and it will cost you between 10.00 and 15.00 euros.
Should you decide to walk from the train station, the quickest way would be by taking Via Nazionale to Via Guelfa. Turn right unto Guelfa. 2 blocks to your left will be Via Santa Reparata. We are on the Left, number 21n.
We highly recommend that you take a taxi if arriving after dark and have luggage to maneuver. In our personal opinion, that is the safest way to arrive and the quickest way to start your vacation. If you have luggage with wheels it will suffer from the cobble stone streets (just a hint).
We wish you safe arrivals and don’t hesitate to reach out if any doubts.
